Chipping Norton is the highest town in Oxfordshire at 700ft above sea level. Mentioned in the Domesday Book, it is a market town in the middle of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The church of St Mary has 13th and 14th-century work and the nave is one of the finest 15th-century interiors in the county outside Oxford.

Oxford and Stratford are within 20 miles and there is a good bus service to both.

But there is also a lot going on in the town itself. There is a theatre, a new leisure centre, book shops, art galleries, a museum and antique shops. And more than 20 pubs and restaurants means you won’t go hungry or thirsty.
