TENNIS: City back with style
Oxford City's ladies returned to the Crossflight Oxfordshire National Club League with a bang - beating North Oxford 3-0.
After several years away from the competition, City's decision to re-enter proved a good one, with Rutvica Andkijasevic and Julie Wakeford starring in their victory.
Maria Lawton and Fiona Pidgeon edged home 6-4, 7-5 against Nicki Marsh and Jenny Corfield to give Thame a 2-1 win over Woodstock.
In the men's league, Abingdon B enjoyed a mixed start, losing 4-2 against their A side, before beating Bicester by the same score in their next match.
