SPEEDWAY: Double dose at Cowley
THERE is a double dose of action at Cowley this weekend.
Firstly, the club host the British Under 15 final tomorrow (7.30pm), with young Cheetah Brendan Johnson one of the favourites to land the crown.
On Sunday (7.45pm), a Cheetahs select side take on Somerset Rebels who make their first-ever trip to Oxford for a Premier League challenge.
Riding for the Cowley outfit will be former rider Mark Lemon as well as the return of Swedish favourite Eric Andersson who could well figure in next year's Premier League plans.
Andersson began the season for Cheetahs in the Elite League.
Also included is Czech Republic junior champion Filip Sitera, while Adam Roynon, who almost joined Cheetahs this year, is also included.
"It should be a great conclusion to what has been a very satisfying end to the season," said promoter Allen Trump.
Cheetahs line-up: 1 M Lemon, 2 A Bargh, 3 F Sitera, 4 A Roynon, 5 E Andersson, 6 L Smethills, 7 D Betson.
