SCHOOLS' FOOTBALL: Magical Murphy stars in goal fest
Captain James Murphy hit a five-timer as Oxfordshire Under 14s demolished Dorset 11-0 in the Reed Trophy at Milton United.
Oli Taylor, Ben Whitehead and Jordan Obita bagged a brace apiece as Oxon dominated the game with their superior technical ability and work rate.
In their opening game, a three-goal salvo in the last 15 minutes saw Oxon slip to a 3-0 defeat away to Hampshire.
Oxon kept the game goalless until they were finally ground down by a bigger and stronger Hampshire side.
OXFORD Under 15s produced a tremendous display to beat Southampton 2-1 in the Wright Cup semi-final at Oxford Community School.
The hosts dominated the first half, but it wasn't until a few minutes before the break that they made the breakthrough when TJ Constant volleyed home a long ball in brilliant fashion from 16 yards.
Oxford doubled their lead midway through the second half with Connor McDonagh delivering a low cross from the left for Ryan Simpson to finish in style.
Southampton pulled a goal back in the dying seconds, but it was too little, too late.
