RUGBY UNION: Evans in suspense
Chinnor's former director of rugby Lynn Evans was left on tenterhooks as they secured the South West 1 title.
Evans, who is now developing coaches in North America, said: "I got news of the Chinnor result while watching the USA Collegiate Championships in Albuquerque in New Mexico.
"I was a very nervous man at 9am, waiting for the score.
"Jason (Bowers) must have been caught up in the celebrations - he usually does not ring me if we lose!
"So I rang (ex--player) John Vaughan to get the news. Sounds like a tough battle."
