Well done Quins, if only you lifted your game like this all season !!Wish I had been there.

Hope your account of the game is more unbaised than your speach at the game Ed. Having seen you give the ref a 5 I think it pretty much says it all really.

Congratulations Quins - sets up the final game of the season perfectly, I think.

To give the referee 5 is WAY to kind - Oxfordshire RFU need to seriously reconsider their decision to use lower grade referees from Bucks or Berks to ref what is supposed to be the showcase for Oxfordshire rugby.

The referee was APPALLING and I speak as someone who went to see a great game of rugby. Chinnor should have scored 1 more try and had a couple of players binned for consistent infringements. Similarly the off the ball stuff from Quins was never picked up on.

I was standing by the touchline and heard the touch judge saying to the ref "You couldnt have missed that", so the showcase match for Oxfordshire rugby descended into a coaching session for a ref who was clearly way out of his depth.

If Oxfordshire wants to make a statement of its rugby quality, then this was a very, very poor way of doing it.

Well done Quins - Chinnor, time to pick yourself up and go for the title.

The difference between the two sides was obviously the Tweed Army - a real show of togetherness as this Oxford Partnership develops.

Tought Rowe was magnificant.

Tweed Army - repeat Tweed Army

Hear hear, the difference was definitely the Tweed Army and also the delightful damsel that is the Quins physio!!

I watched yesterdays game and as a neutral rugby fan I was very impressed with Ouins, they had the hunger and really wanted to win. As for Chinnor, how are they top of the league?? They seemed very soft in the tackle and some of there players just wandered around the pitch enjoying the sunshine!

Well done Quins you played a highly effective game. Cope and Jones were very dominant and your back row were outstading. On that note the Mighty Chinnor have had a fantastic season they are by far the most consistent team this season and do deserve to be in contention for the National 3. A week Saturday will be so so different enjoy your glory quins and well done we may see you in a few seasons in National 3.

Thanks but no thanks to Tweedledum
Although I have my own love interests I'd like to congratulate my own Tweed hero who the Green Army baited mercilessly.
I quite like the look of that other Tweedy next to Bill handing out the Trophies.
Can anyone exlain who this V.I.P is as my boyfriend is very jealous of the attention he seeks and gets.
Has anyone seen my bag ?

Judging by the childish responses of Quins and Oxford supporters their Coaches need congratulating for delivering again.
They do need a style guru though to avoid the fashion faux pas's though.

Great game to watch, well done Harlequins who played exceptionally well. Harlequins No. 8 had great legs :)

Well done Quins boys, but I must have a word with that Mezzetti chap and give him some revision on the numbers game - Des tells me Quins were more dominant than the 105 - 93 numbers game scoreline suggests.
Sorry I couldn't make it - I got my dates mixed up and thought you were playing on 19 April. Des was there in his tweeds though, but says that it was a little unsporting for Quins to take the mick by having John Cleese sitting on the subs bench in his fishing gear.
See you all in Chinnor on the 19th.
Love from Carol

Official response to Mr 'Chinnor for the cup':
So, Lord Lucan has yet to ride Shergar down Chinnor (or Thame?) High Street! Just as I predicted, easy win for Quins.
We Quins supporters don't want to grow up and don't need to be taken seriously by the provincials. Where was your "great spirit" when the scoreline was against you? Get behind your players rather than moan about the officials please.
What happened to "1 loss to Quins was an aboration and wont happen again" (sic).
My advice is don't take yourself too seriously, loosen up and enjoy the rugby and the banter, and just maybe, Lord Lucan will ride again.

The No8's legs are certainly not a chickens. More like a roadrunners or a Spiders
We always lose our best Bantams to the bright city lights.

Wouldn't it be great if Quins did the league/cup treble over Chinnor and forced them into a play off for national rugby next season. Chinnor would lose against stronger London league opposition and then we could all enjoy their whinging next season when quins again stuff them. Chin up Chinnor.
Posted by: Barrell, Thame on 3:11pm Tue 8 Apr 08
Well I have to say Quins so called supporters would you rather win the one off games against Chinnor or win the Leauge I for one would rather lose the odd game but still win the Leauge. We wont be playing you next year because we will be in the Nationals. See you next week and bring a hankey.
Posted by: Counting Chickens, Cuckoo Land on 5:47pm Tue 8 Apr 08
You just don't learn, do you Mr Barrell? You ain't won nothing yet and we've got the Oxon Cup. We have nothing to lose next week, whereas you do. Bring a pack of hankies and a gross of boxes of tissues. The Quins fans, if not recognisable by their tweed outfits, will be the ones stifling their laughter. However, if Lord Lucan rides Shergar down Kingsey Road and Chinnor sneak a victory, we will be the first to shake your hand and have a beer with you. But you have to win on the pitch first...............
