Joe makes table tennis history
Joe Cheong entered the record books when he won the Didcot and District's junior closed table tennis championship for the fifth time.
In the final against his fellow Moreton club member, James Goldsby-West, consistent Cheong triumphed 11-5 in the third set to make history.
The Oxford & District League's invitation tournament takes place tomorrow at the Forum Club in Kidlington.
The event starts at 10am and the men's final is scheduled to be completed by 6pm.
A grand presentation of trophies will follow at 7pm, and spectators are welcome.
Oxford retained the senior trophy in the county inter-league tournament at South Moreton.
They recorded comfortable victories over Banbury, Didcot and the Rest of Oxfordshire.
Karl Bushell led the team to victory, and had strong support from Grego Boone and Dawn Pearce.
The junior event was won by Didcot, who beat Oxford 4-3.
