City of Oxford's Rosie Bancroft shone as she took part in four events at the DSE British International Disability Championships in Sheffield.

Bancroft recorded personal best times in the 400m freestyle and 100m butterfly to earn places in the finals, while her times in all four events were qualifying standards for this summer's ASA National Youth Championships.

At Milton Keynes, a team of 15 City swimmers took part in the level 2 'Last Chance Regional Qualifier' meeting.

Molly Williamson, 12, finished third in the 400m individual medley in a time of 5.35.46 - 12 seconds inside the regional qualifying time.

She went one better in the 200m butterfly, clocking 2.47.61 to earn a silver medal.

Lucy Smith was the fastest 11-year-old in the 100m butterfly with a personal best of 1.20.33.

She also posted qualifying times in the 50, 100 and 200m freestyle.

Nine-year-old Lucy Gaen swam ten events in the 9/10-year-old age band.

Eight swims brought personal bests, with massive 11-second improvements in the 200m individual medley and 100m butterfly.

Elizabeth Oliver, ten, produced personal bests to win bronze medals in the 100m freestyle, breaststroke and individual medley.

Jack Gosden-Kay, 12, made big improvements in the 200m breaststroke, freestyle and backstroke, while Phillipa Smith, 14, reached the final of the 50m freestyle.

  • WITNEY won the Peter Casey Trophy at Wantage Leisure Centre.

Harry Blackford's win in the 12 & under boys 200m freestyle brought him the swimmer-of-the-match award.
