Gary Wolstenholme put England on the brink of victory over France
Neil Chaudhuri sealed victory as England defeated France 14-10 in an amateur international at Frilford Heath.
Chaudhuri gained the winning point to land England victory on a sun-bathed Red Course.
Going into the second and final day one point ahead, England doubled that in the morning foursomes, leaving them needing three wins and a half from the eight singles.
But it was no easy task as the French put up stout resistance.
However, Danny Willett, Chris Wood and Gary Wolstenholme put England on the brink of victory before Chaudhuri did the rest with a dramatic finish.
Drafted in as a replacement for the injured Steve Uzzell, he made sure he didn't finish with a blank return by coming from two down to beat Rudy Thuillier on the final green.

England's Dale Whitnell, in the last match, was always ahead against Jean-Jacques Wolff, also winning on the final green.
This was England's second successive win in the event following their victory in Bordeaux two years ago.
