The Oxfordshire Cup final against Oxford Harlequins will give Chinnor the chance to avenge their only league defeat of the season.
But captain Matt Hutchings says simply playing in Saturday's Iffley Road showpiece should be sufficient for them to raise their game.
Quins beat Chinnor 29-15 in November's South West 1 clash - a defeat that has riled Hutchings's men ever since.
But he said: "There is no added motivation needed for a final like this.
"It doesn't matter what has happened before.
"I personally haven't won the cup. That's enough motivation there.

"Back in November when we lost to Quins, we were still quite naive.
"But since then we have developed really well.
"There is pressure in a cup final, but I think we are able to cope with it better now."
Chinnor have also lost on their last two appearances in the county cup final - to Quins in 2004 and Henley Alliance in 2005.
Hutchings added: "We are quite confident for the final, but form doesn't really come into it.
"We will be starting again on a level playing field.
"It will be another typical week's training as we see it as just another game."
Hutchings had looked like missing the final, but will now lead his side out after all
A PE teacher at the Cooper School, Bicester, he had been down to lead a ski trip this weekend, but a colleague has stepped into the breach.
Hooker Alan Cawston, however, won't be able to cap his first-team renaissance with an appearance in the final against Oxford Harlequins.
Cawston heads off on Horspath Cricket Club's Barbados tour on Saturday morning having booked the trip when he thought he was well down the pecking order at Chinnor.
For Quins, No 8 Anthony Jackson and utility player Tom Johnson are both unavailable.

Thank you to Oxford Harlequins for their kind invitation to be their guest of honour at this week's cup final. I am pleased to hear that it is a level playing field as I believe village pitches can be quite bumpy.
Can I do the numbers game as I hear Chinnor are no longer naive, so might be able to understand it this time?
Good luck to both sides, though I expect to be celebrating with the Quins boys (they are a handsome bunch now that they have offloaded Loggerhead to Oxford) late into the night at the Blenheim.

Welcome back Carol - we have missed you!!
Its clearly obvious that you don't go to rugby games that often. The Chinnor "village pitch" (or should it be "patch"?) compared to the Quins pitch is something that you should really investigate further. Why don't you come to the Chinnor vs. Quins league match in a couple of weeks time to compare them?
You will also be able to celebrate with Chinnor their promotion to National League Division 3 as well as being Oxfordshire Cup champions.
As for celebrating with the Quins boys on Saturday - you should go and celebrate with them because they will have worked hard on Saturday afternoon. Will they win, well someone wins the lottery every week, so there is a chance.
It will all depend on who remembers to bring their head from the changing room at 3:30pm.

Now come on chaps lets lay off Carol. I worked with her for a while but fortunately the Sultana..Santana...S
etanta offer came in with the gobby yet fit(I have by the way) bird, and Carols knowledge of the game of rugby can border on the insane but its all the numbers in her head that do it. I however am looking forward to seeing two talented teams giving Oxfordshire Rugby a good name, followed by seeing what gems I can pick up in Maxwells.

Rough diamonds can be found at Maxwells, and players kitbags can be found if your lucky or unlucky depending on who's it is.
Carol is fit too after lots of knee action so she'll be choosier this time.
It'll be good to see more than 1 mullett on display if your true to form.
Good luck.
