FOCUSED: Stars' captain Darren Elliott (left) and Lee Featherstone share some thoughts during a training session this week

Oxford City Stars' trio Will Skaife, Grant Bailey and Jacob Smith all return from suspension ahead of this weekend's tricky double header in South Division A.

Stars travel to Milton Keynes Thunder today, before hosting Solihull at Oxpens Road tomorrow.

The return of Skaife, Bailey and Smith will give Stars the strength in depth they need as they look to continue their run of good form, which has seen them win back-to-back games.

The trio had received one-match bans after fighting broke out in the Coventry game, but the squad have been hard at work in training this week.

They know they will need to win both games to keep their hopes of reaching the play-offs alive, and head coach Darryl Morvan hopes they can maintain the momentum after last week's crushing 10-3 victory over Solihull.

Morvan said: "This weekend gives us two fixtures which we really need to win to stay in the hunt for the play-offs.

"We had a tough cup fixture at Milton Keynes earlier in the year.

'They are always a difficult team to play, especially on their bigger rink.

"They have had some good results this season.

"I am sure the Milton Keynes game will be a strong test of our ability to handle pressure."

Meanwhile, Morvan insists there will be no complacency in the return match against Solihull, despite slamming ten goals past them last weekend.

He said: "Solihull will be looking to prove that our result against them last week was because we caught them on a bad day.

"They are traditionally intense and hard-working, and any success against them must be hard-earned."

The return of Grant and Jacob will be a real boost for Stars, as both are capable of chipping in with goals at vital times, while Skaife will complement Stars' strong defensive unit.
