HOCKEY: Banbury seal semi spot
Simon Boardman's first-half brace set Banbury on the way to a 4-2 home win over high-flying West side Devizes in the quarter- finals of the England HA Harrod UK Men's Trophy.
Boardman struck twice from a short corners, and with Adrian Simons doing likewise before the break, Banbury took charge.
However, Devizes rallied after the break and short corner expert Matt Philpot gave them hope, before Sam Gaiger grabbed their second from close range.
With time running out Devizes withdrew their keeper.
And when Banbury won a short corner, Tyson Nunneley flicked the ball past the defenders to clinch a semi-final place for the fourth time in five years.
Now Banbury will be at home to Henley on Sunday, March 30.
