Nev Davies's 25-foot putt on the 18th green helped Frilford Heath beat Chipping Norton 2-1 in Section 1 of the Shaw Gibbs Oxfordshire Foursomes League.

Davies's masterstoke capped a fine fightback as he and Alex Gavrilovic came back from three down to beat Andy Johnson and Tim Reynolds by one hole.

Frilford's Ashley Walton and Ben Paterson eased past Danny Hicks and Shaun Kench 3 & 2 in match two.

Chippy's Matt Johnson and Stuart Allen pipped John Summers and Sean Elliott by one hole thanks to Johnson's 18th-green birdie, so Davies's putt proved decisive.
