DARTS: Quarry Gate did in for title
The battle for the Greene King ODDA Ladies Section 1 title was only decided on the final night of the season as Quarry Gate C recorded a comfortable 7-2 win over their D team.
Second place went to Berinsfield Community Centre B after a titanic struggle against Premier side Blackbird Bar.
Jayne Godfrey gave Blackbird the lead, but visitors Berinsfield hit back via Sam Moore and 14-year-old Katie Moore.
The home side levelled at 2-2 through Chris Thompson, and although Berinsfield made it 3-2, Shaz Thompson squared it up again at 3-3.
A 2-1 pairs success gave Berinsfield a famous 5-4 victory, and their runners-up spot is their highest-ever position in the league.
ENTRIES for the Greene King ODDA Summer League must be in by next Sunday. Teams requiring forms should contact Jim Baxendale on 01865 430054.
