Shelswell Inn have finally broken their duck after 41 Oxfordshire Men's Super League matches.

Having lost all 18 matches in their first season (when playing as Brackley Band Club), Shelswell went into last week's match on a 22-match losing sequence.

Their contest at home to Shelley Arms started in familiar fashion, with the visitors going 3-0 up thanks to down Barry Radford, Terry Wood and Karl Smith.

Shelswell's Peter Gough and Dave Bedborough got the score back to 3-2 before Ray Pape put the visitors a set from victory.

However, Shelswell were having none of it as Steve Gough and Barry Harris levelled the match at 4-4.

Then Simon Tricker took the match for the home team as he won his set 3-2 with a 120-checkout in the final leg to spark celebrations in the Shelswell camp.

Chinnor kept up their quest for a second title in three years as they won 6-3 at home to Masons Arms (North Leigh) Three Tuns A kept up the pressure on the leaders as they ran out 7-2 winners against their B team, with the first four games all going to five legs White Lion, Fewcott, made it nine wins on the trot as they won 5-4 at Shears.
