Jon Jukes hit two 180s for Original Swan A

Premier League champions Original Swan A suffered their first defeat of the season with a 5-4 reverse at Section 1's Shelley Arms C.

Terry Wood gave Shelley a 1-0 lead with a fine win over Tony Leone.

The Premier side hit back with wins from Jon Jukes, who landed two 180s, and Nick Cobb, but Shelley levelled as Lyndon Richards beat Derek Pringle.

It was 3-3 going into the pairs, which Shelley took 2-1 to complete the upset.

Steve Pladdys starred as Rose Hill Community Centre took a giant step towards the Section 2 title with an 8-1 win at the Three Horseshoes.

Pladdys hit two 180s and threw a 15-dart leg, which he finished with double four, double 11 and double three.

Victories from Bob Boyce, Pladdys, Darren Allen, who also bagged two 180s, Jamie Byles and Jason Tyle gave Rose Hill a 5-0 lead.

Paul Bustin pulled one game back for the Shoes when he beat Dave Witherwick, but Rose Hill took the pairs 3-0.

They are now 11 points ahead of Lord Nuffield Social Club. who have played one game fewer.

Section 3 leaders Red Lion C crashed to a 5-4 defeat at Masons Arms A, which leaves them needing five points next week to be sure of the title.

Section 4 leaders, Marsh Harrier, suffered title nerves when they lost 5-4 to the visiting Bullnose Morris A.

The Harrier now have a three-point lead over Marston British Legion, who narrowed the gap with a 5-4 win at Cricketer's Arms.
