Ray Pape was taken to five legs as he pulled back a set for Shelley, but Barry Stratford restored Tuns two-set lead as he cruised to a 3-0 win.

Simon Powell again put Shelley back in contention winning 3-0, but Phil Addison and Ronnie Anderson took the next two to give Tuns the win.

Aaron Stevens and Barry Radford won the final two sets for Shelley.

Three Tuns B went down to a 6-3 defeat at leaders Chinnor.

Chinnor clinched victory through Tony Leone and Paul Farnes who both won their sets 3-0 to give them a 5-3 lead.

Third-placed Shears won 6-3 at Masons Arms.

They stormed into a 4-0 lead, thanks to wins from Kevin Wilkins, Simon Davison, Mark Ord and Preben Krabben, including a 120 checkout.

Phil Busby hit back for Masons taking the fifth. Dave Exell took the next for victory.

Bob Godwin and Martin Bull won a set apiece for Masons, before Paul Cross took the final set 3-2 as Shears cruised in.
