Shipton cruise against Minster

Shipton-under-Wychwood posted the highest total of the season so far as they beat Minster Lovell by 103 runs in Group A of the Oxfordshire Under 13 League.

Batting first, Shipton rattled up 142-5 from their 20 overs, thanks to Jake Taylor and Archie Henderson, who both retired on 30.

Minster struggled to only 39-8 in reply.

The tables were turned in Group C as Minster Lovell's B side ran up a score of 118-3 against Shipton B.

James Merriman made 30 not out, while Jordan Attenborough took just 18 balls to reach his 30.

Shipton were then held to 70-8 in reply.

Witney Swifts were also in the runs as they beat East & West Hendred by 28 runs.

Charlie Waite (33no), William Vandenberg (33no) and Liam Hare (30no) helped Swifts to 131-5, before Hendred were bowled out for 103.

RESULTS Group A Shipton A 142-5 (J Taylor 30no, A Henderson 30no, J Barrett 24no), Minster Lovell A 39-8 (J Barrett 2-3, J Savage 2-7).

Hook Norton 73-5, Banbury 74-4 (J Scott 25no, C Wise 24).

Group B Tiddington 98-3 (C Goodman 32no), Ox & Bletch Nondies 78.

Kidlington 46-8 (E Walker 3-4), Aston Rowant A 47-2 (A Tolson 25no).

Bicester & NO 75-4, Oxford A 76-5.

Horspath 92-3 (E Neil 30no, J Adams 2-9), Thame Tn 93-4 (W Sutcliffe 33no).

Group C Witney Swifts 131-5 (C Waite 33no, W Vandenberg 33no, L Hare 30no, D O'Rourke 2-3, D Beckley 2-9), E&W Hendred 103 (J Dewer 23, J Wynne 22).

Freddie Campbell took a hat-trick as Oxford beat Oxford & Bletchingdon Nondescripts by 99 runs in the Oxfordshire Under 11 League.

Oxford rattled up 122-2 from their 16 overs, Campbell scoring 27 not out and Nick Lancaster 25 not out, before Nondies were dismissed for 23.
