CRICKET: Redknap hits maiden century
Ben Redknap scored a maiden league ton as Stonesfield eased to a nine-wicket victory at home to Uffington in Division 3.
Batting first, Uffington posted 156-9, Steve Willis scoring a half century.
But the total never looked like being enough as Redknap finished unbeaten on 101 and Jamie Burns 43.
Alan Williams bowled a miserly spell of 4-6 in ten overs as Witney Swifts saw off Clifton Hampden by seven wickets.
Morley Benson's 81 was the highlight of Clifton's 153 all out, but after Williams's haul, Jason Seacole (66no) and youngster Charlie Fisher (35no) saw Swifts to victory.
Elsewhere, Northleach Town began with a six-wicket victory at Broughton & North Newington, while Fringford saw off Brill by 64 runs.
Radley won a low-scoring encounter at West Ilsley by 12 runs.
In Division 4, Dave Barnhill's 6-37 was in vain as Oxford Rescue lost by 34 runs against Deddington.
Deddington had been restricted to 150-9, but 4-20 from Ramesh Chennagiri helped to dismiss Rescue for 116.
Westcott eased to a 64-run victory at Wootton & Boars Hill, despite being bowled out for just 151.
Mick Wiskin's 4-29 looked to have put Wootton in control, but 4-29 from Nadeem Raja saw Wootton skittled for 87 in reply.
Charlbury 2nd began their first season in Division 4 with a 13-run win at West Witney, with Charlie Sinton the star of the show.
He scored 45 in Charlbury's 147 all out, before Tim Jarvis (4-38) and Sinton (3-17) combined to dismiss West Witney for 134.
Oxenford edged home by one wicket at Britwell Salome.
Aaron Hirtenstein (3-15) and David Gwynn (3-23) helped dismiss Britwell for only 89, but Oxenford stumbled their way to 90-9 in a tense finish.
Tim Knight took 6-22 as Combe thumped Hailey by nine wickets.
