YOUTH CRICKET: Minster edge it in thriller
Minster Lovell edged a thrilling derby clash with Charlbury by just one run in Group A of the Oxfordshire Under 13 League.
Batting first, Minster Lovell scored 88-6, with Connor Tinsley top-scoring with 30 not out.
In reply, Charlbury were restricted to 87-6, Lee Smith taking three catches for Minster.
Banbury got their campaign off to a flier as they saw off Shipton-under-Wych- wood A by eight wickets.
Chasing a victory target of 86, Will Stanley (31no) and Tom Bradbeer (28no) saw Banbury home.
Warborough & Shillingford posted the highest score of the day with 101-4 against Aston Rowant B in Group D.
Tom Godfrey led the way with 25, before Rowant were restricted to 87-6 in reply.
An undefeated 31 by James Bywater saw Didcot to a seven-wicket victory over Blewbury.
Alex Rodman had earlier taken 3-15 as Blewbury were restricted to 76-5.
In Group B, East & West Hendred enjoyed a ten-wicket win against Shipton-under-Wychwood B.
There was a fine batting display from Tom Costley, who led Ducklington to 69-8 against Buscot Park.
But was was not enough as an opening stand of 50 between Harry Stevens Nick Moody (25no) saw Buscot to a nine-wicket win.

Minster Lovell 88-6 (C Tinsley 30no), Charlbury 87-6.
Shipton A 86-4, Banbury 88-2 (W Stanley 31no, T Bradbeer 28no).
Freeland 83-8 (J Haggett 2-5, L Brock 2-17), Great & Little Tew 84-5 (P Myatt 21, C Pratley 2-16).
Group B.
Ox & Bletch Nondies 62-4, Bicester & NO 65-3.
Thame Tn 33-7, Aston Rowant A 35-0.
Group C.
Shipton B 59 (A Napper 2-13, D O'Rourke 2-13), E&W Hendred 63-0.
Ducklington 69-8 (T Costley 30no, R O'Kelly 3-6), Buscot Park 70-1 (N Moody 25no).
Challow & Childrey 62-5, Witney Swifts 65-4.
Group D.
Warborough & Shillingford 101-4 (T Godfrey 25), Aston Rowant B 87-6.
Blewbury 76-5 (A Rodman 3-15), Didcot 77-3 (J Bywater 31no).
