Through Cumnor on Appleton Road opposite 'Bear and Ragged Staff' pub.
2004 was an excellent season for Cumnor with the 1st XI winning the Division
3 title and both the 2nd and 3rd XIs clinching promotion. Several of the
junior sides performed notably and the club, once again, became county
over 40 champions.
Graham Scott showed a welcome return to form and, on a superb batting
surface at Park Field, John Williams also scored a ton. The secret of
success however was solid teamwork with all players contributing in one
or more games for the first team.
The 2nd XI performances were led by newcomer Tim Johnson and the 3rd XI
player of the year, Justin Bowerman, takes over the captaincy of the thirds
this season.
All three sides harbour realistic thoughts of back to back promotions.
