OXVOX chairman Trevor Lambert says he is very disappointed by an apparent change of heart from the Football Conference after receiving a letter from their chairman, Brian Lee.

Together with StagsFansUnited, the Mansfield Town supporters trust, OxVox wrote to the Conference and the FA about delays in completing and publishing the Conference review into their procedures.

It follows the deduction of points against Oxford United and three other clubs when players were not registered.

The letter, which landed on Lambert’s doormat at the weekend, stated that the outcome of the review will not now be made public.

Lambert said: “They now say the outcome of the review will remain private, but they will make a statement about the findings.

“It’s a clear about-turn from what they promised to do.”
