Man hurt in unprovoked attack
A man was shoved into a wall during an unprovoked attack in Grove.
Police are appealing for witnesses after the man was assaulted while walking behind Co-operative Funeral Directors, in Millbrook Square, at 8pm on Friday.
The attacker is described as being of mixed race, in his mid-20s, about 5ft 10in and was of medium build. He was wearing a black hoodie with white writing on the front and blue jeans, walked away through Mary Green Park towards Sycamore Walk.
Pc Adrian Bray said: "This is an unprovoked assault. The man was lucky to be left with only bruising but this type of behaviour will not be tolerated.
"I am appealing to anyone who may have seen the assault take place and also to a man who was walking a dog, which looked like a Dalmatian, in Mary Green Park at the time."
Anyone with information should contact police on 08458 505505 or speak anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

A Police spokesman said;
" I hope the wall was not damaged!"
Criminal damage charges are not being brought at this time.

Attacks, paedophiles, now more sex cases arrested......Isnt Wantage supposed to be a sleepy little village? Didcot was once the butt of all the jokes, seems like paradise next to Wantage.....methinks its time to sell up before the credit crunch halves the price of our houses.

I agree, and I'm affraid to say both Wantage and Grove are spiraling into a drugs,violence and antisocial nightmare.
