Hundreds of people lined the streets of Wallingford for the town's annual carnival.
The day was launched by Wallingford mayor Alec Hayton - who opened the carnival on his beloved Harley Davidson, accompanied by fellow bikers. Mr Hayton said: "The first bit in the morning was a little bit disappointing, because of the weather but we managed to open it on the motorbikes."
Entertainment began in the town's market place, where the Wallingford School Fun Band played.
A procession of floats took to the streets in the afternoon, with colourful representations of musicals, from Mary Poppins to Paint Your Wagon and the Just Friends group's Starlight Express float - complete with roller-skaters.
Following the procession, people gathered on the Kinecroft, and enjoyed a stunt show, and falconry display. There was also a funfair and the revelry continued into the night with live bands.
Money raised at the event will go to AFC Wallingford.

In a previous report, it was stated, and I quote ..
WALLINGFORD'S motorbiking mayor-elect, Alec Hayton, has promised a spectacular start to this year's Wallingford Carnival.
The mayor normally leads the procession sedately in a horse-drawn carriage or a vintage car.
But Mr Hayton, 66, of St John's Green, is assistant director of the Oxford Harley-Davidson Club.
He said: "That means I will be having an unusual and noisy escort at this year's carnival. It will certainly be something different to make people sit up and take notice!" ..
Well I was at the carnival, saw the mayor in his vintage car leading the procession, but saw no Harley-Davidsons as stated in this report. Now I may be getting old, eyesight and hearing not as it was, but if I thought for one moment I managed to miss a load of Harleys going past I would be worried!! Did anyone else see them in the procession?
