A woman from Henley remains in a serious condition in hospital following yesterday's two-vehicle crash on the A40 between the Cassington exit and the Banbury Road roundabout.

She was airlifted to Oxford's John Radcliffe Hospital after suffering a fractured skull and two broken legs.

Two vehicles were involved in the collision, a green Peugeot and a blue Volvo, at about 11.30am.

The woman, in her late 30s, had been driving the Peugeot.

The driver of the Volvo, a 67-year-old from Surrey, was also treated for head injuries. He has since been released from hospital.

Anyone who may have witnessed the collision is urged to call Pc Dan Henderson on 08458 505505.
