CCTV images released today by police
CCTV images released today by police

Police are trying to trace these three young men in connection with an assault in Didcot.

A 16-year-old boy was walking home from school along Station Road at 3pm on Friday, March 14.

He was approached by a group of about five men and punched in the face.

He suffered a broken cheekbone and facial injuries, which needed nine stitches.

Police today released CCTV images of three men they believe they were in the area at the time and may have information on what happened.

Dc Rachel Carter said: "I'm keen to speak to the men in the pictures and urge them, or anyone who recognises them, to contact me.

"This was an unprovoked attack and I hope that these men can help me with my investigation."

A 19-year-old man from Didcot has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and released on bail until May 27.

Anyone with information should call police on 08458 505505 or speak anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
