Steeple Aston's annual flower and dog show attracted hundreds of people to the village.
The show on Bank Holiday Monday attracted more than 700 exhibit.
Visitors at the event, which was partly held in a marquee at Robinsons Close and in the village hall, tried out a range of activities including, jousting and bowling.
The dog show had five classes to suit all breeds of dogs. Helena Lang, 12, and Paddy are pictured competing in the dog agility contest.
Rosettes were awarded in all classes, along with a trophy for the "dog of the day".
The event, which began in 1869, is considered one of the best shows in north Oxfordshire and is one of numerous events held in the village, near Bicester.
Show chairman Richard Preston said: "Everyone had a great time. Other attractions at the show included owls and Karluk Siberian Huskies.
"An auction of produce donated by exhibitors followed afterwards."
Despite overcast and threatening conditions, people wandered around the trade stands and children enjoyed playing on the bouncy castle without getting wet.
