Young carers from north and west Oxfordshire will see themselves on the big screen tomorrow night when they attend the premiere of their own film, Young Carers - Good Days, Bad Days.

It shows young carers having fun together, talking about their lives and developing their ideas into drama and film.

The film screening, at Banbury Town Hall, in Bridge Street, has been organised by the town's MP Tony Baldry and the Young Carers Project, which is based at the Carers' Centre, in Horsefair, Banbury.

An audience made up of professionals who work with children has been invited, but anyone else interested is welcome to attend.

The film lasts 30 minutes and Mr Baldry will be there for the screening, which starts at 6pm.

The film was made by young carers from north and west Oxfordshire with help from a professional film-maker.

Young carers worker Veronica Jones said: "Being a young carer means looking after someone in their family.

"It can take up most of their time and can involve helping the patient in the bath or cooking dinner.

"It can be like being a parent, but young."
