At this time of year, animals are in breeding season and need to travel further to mate or find food. I myself stopped to let a deer cross (whilst safe to do so), but had I been speeding, I would have most likely hit it. At this time of year be aware that animals are venturing more onto and near the roads - keeping to the speed limit can help as in my case, perhaps just by being a little bit more aware we can avoid some accidents. Hope the driver above makes a full recovery - and this is not a judgement on their driving whatsoever, just a statement to say, birds, deer, baby and young animals are all out there discovering our roads - at least 10 million die every year on them..

Unfortunatly i was the driver in the car. I was on my way to work and it just suddenly ran out in front of me, didn't have time to do anything. The deer did not survive and neither did my car. I take it no one saw the lorry that then plowed into my car just after and finished it off
