HOMELESS people in Gravesham can turn to the council for housing advice.
The housing department is open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm for anyone sleeping rough.
People calling into the office in Windmill Street should make sure they have evidence of homelessness such as a Notice to Quit, Possession Order for rent mortgage or a solicitors letter.
And if people suffer from a physical disability and are unable to get to the civic centre, the council can arrange to visit them.
Shelter has a 24-hour helpline. Call 0808 800 4444 or 01474 337587/337465.
