Police are investigating a suspected arson attack after a greenhouse was torched early today.

Firefighters were called to a blaze in the garden of a home at Bear's Hedge in Rose Hill, Oxford, at 2.30am and have alerted police.

No one was injured in the fire.

Fire crews also tackled two cars found on fire in Oxfordshire early today. A car was set ablaze in Pound Street in Charlbury at 5am and a second vehicle was found on fire on the A4074 near Ipsden at 5.30am and police are investigating whether it was arson.

A lorry had to be towed to safety after it caught fire on the M40 near Bicester.

Fire crews were called to the motorway between junctions nine and ten at 6.30pm on Tuesday.

The fire was believed to be caused by hot brakes and the blaze was extinguished before the lorry was towed from the motorway.
