Paramedics found themselves on the horns of a dilemma when they got a 999 call begging them to save an injured deer.
A woman motorist struck the animal at the Wolvercote roundabout in Oxford at 8pm on Thursday.
However, the ambulance service told the driver, who was described as upset, that paramedics could not help.
