Campaigners have submitted an application to the High Court in the ongoing battle to save Radley Lakes.
Radley Parish Council is seeking a judicial review of the decision by Oxfordshire County Council not to give the land around Thrupp and Bullfield Lakes village green status.
Jenny Standen, chairman of Radley Parish Council, said the decision - which could cost local taxpayers £40,000 - was not taken lightly.
