Children from Charney Bassett made boxes for birds and bats to roost in - and were even introduced to some prospective residents when Dave Endacott of Oxfordshire Bats Group brought along several of the creatures.
The boxes will be put on trees which were exposed following the clearing of white poplars and scrub in Charney Field. The session aimed to encourage young people to care for local wildlife.
Among those taking part was John Gildersleeves, seven, who is pictured above getting a little bit of expert help with his work from Mike Welham.
