A teenage yob with eight convictions for 27 offences has been spared jail despite his part in a street robbery.

Luke Williams, 18, who was served an Anti-social Behaviour Order 18 months ago, appeared at Oxford Crown Court today after admitting wounding, handling stolen goods and breaching his Asbo.

Lucy Tapper, prosecuting, said Williams punched and kicked Jimmy Wu, 21, in Banbury Road, Summertown, Oxford, in an attack last December. Mr Wu needed seven stitches in his face.

Co-defendant Jack Ulett-Titcombe, 18, of Herschel Crescent, Oxford, admitted stealing Mr Wu's wallet.

Jennifer Brady, defending, said Williams had been trouble-free since the street attack and had shown remorse.

Judge Christopher Compston ordered Williams to carry out 100 hours unpaid work and pay £200 costs.

He said: "Next time you will go inside - not for months, but years."

Ulett-Titcombe was ordered to carry out 100 hours unpaid work and pay £200 costs.

I'm sure he's quaking in his boots...
Nice to see that the unelected 'Judge' has no regard for what the MAJORITY of the population in this so-called 'democracy' would like to see happen to Luke Williams. 25 years' hard labour with just a bare cell every night would be a good start. We'd soon see crime drop then.
But the liberal hand-wringers and socialist wankers can't have that, because they'd have to admit that their 'Poverty causes crime' hypothesis is incorrect... And we can't have that. Who cares if they've had their way for 50 years, and ALL the evidence proves them overwhelmingly wrong? They don't. But WE, the majority do.
Remember criminal scum, there are 200 times as many of US (law abiding citizens who HATE criminals living in OUR society) as there are of YOU.

Agree, he is what we call a three bagger, would take three bags to cover that face,...so what is the point of giving him an Asbo if the courts are not going to follow through, It is the same with that Druggy Pete (what's his name )now
we will have to wait and see what he does the next time, just hope it is not a murder that could have been avoided by locking him up this time,
What you need to do is send him over here to Arizona, and have our Sheriff Joe put him in tent prison, and make him wear the pink underwear and socks, then let us see
how tough he will be there

'Spared' jail? How about the general public are 'spared' having to put up with persistent violent criminals such as this? But then any anti-social layabout or criminal is just 'misunderstood' according to the hand-wringing Lefties that have run this Country into the ground. Another example of a 'severe letting off'.

And those poor three bankers who might have to serve a sentence for illegally obtaining MILLIONS of pounds through dodgy trading.
Wonder if they will get an ASBO. Or a pardon after lifting up ma trouser leg in a funny way?

So what will it take to send this ugly freak to prison? Not someone's death, I hope.

He wasn't put in jail for speeding. He was put in jail for perjury - namely, trying to claim that it was his son driving the car and not him.

What on earth is wrong with these judges?
The judge has just given this person free reign to carry on with his criminal activities, and also made a mockery of all the police work in bringing this idiot to court in the first place.

How are we to have confidence in the justice system if Judges don't do theirt jobs properly.

I couldn't care if it was his bloody Grandmother driving and speeding!!!! The fact is this Ugly specimen of a human being has gone out and attacked and innocent member of the public and stole his wallet. Now surely this deserves a prison sentence 10 times over on someone who has committed perjury??? The system is a joke and I feel half of these Judges must be pis5ed up whilst working or something. I should think half of these idiots with ASBOS look forward to their court appearances to have a good laugh with the Judges because that is all the system is LAUGHABLE!!!!!!!
