Due to the threat of heavy rain and flooding over the weekend, Network Rail has cancelled engineering work due to take place between Didcot and Swindon.

As a result, subject to weather conditions, First Great Western plans to run trains on the route to special timetables tomorrow and on Sunday.

Trains to and from South Wales will be diverted via Bath and Bristol and will have extended journey times.

The Swindon to Gloucester line will be closed, with buses replacing trains both days.

For more details of services, see the First Great Western website, or call 08457 484950.
