Flooding: Rail travel update

9:16pm Thursday 17th January 2008

First Great Western is warning passengers that its train services could be affected by flooding tomorrow evening and Saturday if heavy rain causes a rise in river levels.

Last July, the Oxford-Didcot line was closed for a week after the Thames covered the tracks at Kennington and Hinksey and the Cotswold Line was shut for a fortnight after the tracks were washed away north of Kingham.
