People at risk of flooding can pick up sandbags from locations around the county.

In Oxford, they are available at:

  • PC World in Botley Road
  • Binsey village
  • The Duke of Monmouth pub in Abingdon Road
  • Redbridge park and ride site.

Sandbags are also available in Abingdon at the Homebase car park and in Wallingford at the old Waitrose car park.

In west Oxfordshire, supplies have been dropped at The Green, in Standlake, the 5 Alls Pub in Filkins and The Green, in Broughton Poggs.

Sandbags help if they're hit by a fast moving wave of water. For slowly raising water levels they are useless.

Make sure you collect them from Homebase.

10% discount on the weekend.

Please take this post with a pinch of sand!
