Some would call him courageous, others simply crazy.
Feelings are bound to be mixed for Richard Pantlin, who is planning a 10-day charity bike ride across Zimbabwe.
Given the state of Zimbabwe, the ride itself would count as brave, but Mr Pantlin will be dressed as a clown.
What Zimbabweans will make of him remains to be seen.
The danger is, of course, that Robert Mugabe and his henchmen won't see the joke.
We wish him well. But the phrase, better him than us, comes to mind.
