A warm welcome home to the troops of 7 Rifles.

In the hubbub of daily life, it is easy to forget the tremendous work being done by our forces in Iraq and Afghanistan.

So it is only right, when they return from tours of duty, that we should honour and acknowledge their efforts in these two war zones.

The Oxford Mail was privileged to see at first hand in Afghanistan the contribution the contingent from 7 Rifles was making.

It is gratifying to see them back, with their job well done.
