McDonald's is hoping to expand one of its drive-thru restaurants.

The global fast-food giant has submitted a planning application to West Oxfordshire District Council to extend its restaurant at Ducklington Lane in Witney.

It hopes to add extensions and relocate the entrance with a new access door and glazing.

The existing building would be reconfigured to include a new maintenance storage room.

The restaurant has been criticised by customers on Tripadvisor over the build up of traffic on the approach roads and entrance which is also the access to Pure Gym.

One customer was left fuming about being asked to wait in the car park for their order which, they said, "is already full of Uber Eats drivers".
