A Banbury choir has announced its first performance of the new season.
Banbury Choral Society will begin its new season by performing 'Carmina Burana', a piece by Carl Orff.
Originally performed at the Frankfurt Opera House in 1937, the society performed the piece previously in 2015.
Under Jonathan Kingston's leadership, the upcoming performance on April 13 at 7.30pm in St Mary's Church, Banbury, will feature two pianos, five percussionists, three soloists and the children's choir from Warriner School led by Dylan McCaig.
After January rehearsals saw new members join, anyone else interested can get in touch via the society's website.
Tickets are £15 for adults or £5 for under 16s and can be bought o the choir's website.
The next concert will feature Rutter, Faure and Vaughan Williams on July 13.
