Two Abingdon streets are today cordoned off after a deep hole opened up over the weekend.

The hole in West St Helen Street is estimated to be 12ft deep and about 2ft by 4ft wide.

Investigations into the cause are beginning today but the collapse happened on Saturday night.

The majority of East St Helen Street and the lower end of West St Helen Street are cordoned off.
