Five rivers throughout Oxfordshire were placed on Flood Watch this morning.
The Environment Agency has placed the rivers Thame, Ray, Evenlode, Windrush and Cherwell on Flood Watch, which means that flooding of low-lying land and roads can be expected.
The number of county rivers on Flood Watch has increased from three to five overnight.
The warnings followed relentless rain across large parts of the country at the weekend, which led to the deaths of eight people and the evacuation of hundreds of families.
Met Office forecasters predict that today's weather will be mainly dry and settled in the South East, with more rain moving in from the west tomorrow.
The North East was the most seriously affected by flooding over the weekend, but there has also been flash flooding in Yorkshire, Shropshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
