A teenage father who breached his Asbo and assaulted his girlfriend was given a suspended prison sentence.
Oxford Crown Court heard on Friday that Lew Odigie went to Emma Wilson's house in Stone Meadow, North Oxford, late one night in February.
The court heard he let himself in, hit her and told her he would hunt her down if she called police.
Odigie was banned from the street by his Asbo because of frequent complaints from neighbours about his loud arguments with his then-partner.
The 18-year-old, from Holland Place, Wood Farm, admitted breaching his Asbo and common assault.
Jane Brady, prosecuting, said Odigie punched Miss Wilson on the cheek while she was holding their three-month-old daughter, although Odigie disputed she was holding the child. Miss Wilson, 28, has now been moved to a safe house with the baby.
Graham Russell, defending, said Odigie had an unhappy childhood as his mother had died when he was two.
Odigie was given a six-month suspended sentence for breaching his Asbo with a concurrent three-month suspended sentence for common assault and ordered to attend an anti domestic violence programme.
