Hundreds at United fun day
Hundreds of Oxford United fans were given their first glimpse at next season's home shirt this morning.
About 2,000 people flocked to the Kassam Stadium in Grenoble Road for the club's annual fun day.
Some junior fans were lucky enough to play five a side football on the pitch before the club's first team showed off their skills in a training session.
Five first team players also took part in the Oxford Mail's Spot On penalty shootout competition, beating a team of fans 3-2.
The new shirt - in traditional U's yellow - was modelled for the crowd by Miss Oxford Mail Lindsay Fayle.
Paula White, of St Christophers Place, Cowley, said: "It has been brilliant. We love it every time we come here."
The open day runs until 2pm.

What they had talent implants over the closed season. They are c r a p and always will be, an embarassment to Oxford.

To be fair to Swindon it is a great place.
It will take a couple of generations though to eradicate interbreeding there.Best of luck with that one.

He has got a point though. How many leagues are Swindon above Oxford ?

What has Swindon got to do with the Oxford United open day? Whatever Swindon does, Oxford fans should remember that the U's are still, and likely to remain, a [bold]NON-LEAGUE[/bold] side.

I call you, my dear....
Like a magical
fear, in my heart,
there's always
a footprint that
now disappears in
the light of a pathway,
and there my
desire gives an
attention to some
beautiful birds.
