FOOTBALL: Scorer Phil feeling lonely!
Phil Trainer celebrates on his own
Phil Trainer celebrates on his own

Phil Trainer admitted being miffed that no-one wanted to congratulate him when he wheeled away to celebrate his opening goal for United against Stevenage yesterday It's because all of his teammates had gone to celebrate instead with Eddie Anaclet, for his part in the goal.

Trainer, pictured roaring his delight in splendid isolation said: "It was a bit strange in the celebrations. I ran off to celebrate and everybody else seemed to run off with Eddie.

"I felt a bit lonely because I turned round and there was no-one there! But fair play to Eddie, he did well, and he laid it on a plate for me."

I wasn't particulary Anti Patto before but he has only won 3 on the bounce it's not out of this world is it yet? So you can't really be too pro Patto when he has lost alot more than he has won. I hope they do keep the winning streak going but how many false dawns have we seen as Oxford fans.

Duck me! There's absolutely no pleasing some people is there? Unbelievable! 8( I can't remember the last time we won three on the bounce; must be 18 months atleast. Well done lads, keep the momentum going til the end of season :)

- If you can't say anything positive, shut up, don't say anything at all! There' been far too much negativity surrounding Yellows for too long. Lets have a smile and and some positive thinking for a change

There has been negativity around the yellows because we've been crap so its quite right that people would be negative.
If you actually read it properly it wasn't actually negative the main message was lets not get carried away we have won 3 games thats all and 2 of them against quite shocking opposition. Its the best form we've been in al year so yes that is positive but remember the season is over we are playing for nothing maybe thats why form has improved cos the pressure is off now?

You don't seriously think that there was no pressure?! Lost to Cambridge and disgracefully to Burton! Believe me those players and the club could not afford a third straight home defeat. As for shocking opposition - it wasn't too long ago under the mighty JS that we were losing to Droylsden!

Ome on ladies put your handbags away. I really can't beleive the way you lot squabble on here sometimes!!!! I know debate is healthy, but if we had one every game this season and conceded no goals. I know for a fact that someone would be on here saying we need to strengthen our defence. I thought we were UNITED for ever lol!!!!
