South Oxfordshire MP Boris Johnson was greeted by lots of lookalikes when he visited Crowmarsh Primary School to open the new pre-school building.
The children made Boris gingerbread men - complete with icing hair to imitate the MP's floppy thatch.
When Mr Johnson had opened the pre-school building by cutting a ribbon and unveiling a plaque, he had lunch with the children, chatting about his job and reminiscing about his schooldays.
He also met six-year-old Ted Wilson, who designed the logo for the pre-school.
The pre-school took place in the village hall for 40 years until organisers decided they wanted their own place on the primary school campus.
Parents raised more than £25,000 with events like a pre-school ball, a beer-and-blues evening, a danceathon, tennis coaching, race nights and the annual village jumble sale.
With grants, the group managed to raise the £250,000 necessary for the building and equipment.
Pre-school leader Dilys Beaumont said she was proud the new building was now a reality.
