A new publishing phenomenon is to take the internet by storm at the end of May in the form of a brand new comic for young people. David Fickling Books, an imprint of publishers Random House, is creating a new comic for 8 to 12 year olds that will initially only be available by subscription.

Four women have teamed up to enter the Blenheim Triathlon on 7th June to raise money towards the Pegasus Theatre fundraising campaign, Building The Future, for the redevelopment of the delapidated premises they are currently using.

something old, something new - a fundraising success

A fundraiser for Pegasus Theatre's major redevelopment programme Building The Future, held last month, brought in £2960 through ticket sales. Something Old Something New featured artists well known to regular Pegasus audiences. Twenty or so acts performed over two nights on Friday 25th and Saturday 26th April, presenting favourite works from their repertoires, sightings of works in progress, premieres of new pieces and previews of performances due to be shown in full later in the year. Raffles and further donations brought the total towards the fundraising campaign to £3343.

Pegasus Theatre has been a major support to young and developing performers and theatre practitioners since it opened in 1975. The theatre then, as now, offered a supportive environment where experiment, risk and cross collaboration were positively encouraged. This thriving setting has launched the careers of some of the UKs celebrated artists and companies including Théâtre de Complicité, The Right Size and Peepolykus.
