Profits soar at Morgan Ashurst

Building firm Morgan Ashurst, which has an office in Milton Park, has unveiled a record set of financial figures.

Pre-tax profits rose 30 per cent to £62.1m for the year ended December 31 2007 and the group has an order book worth £4.3bn.

The Milton Park office is working on a £25m scheme to rebuild Bracknell and Wokingham College in Bracknell, and a £200m four-year deal at reading University.

Peter Baggott, Morgan Ashurst area director for Abingdon. said: "Our prospects are good for the year ahead with a significant number of large education projects currently underway," says "Work in the commercial sector, together with good relationships with a number of key clients, has provided a very healthy order book for the next 12 months."
